Cory Crombie is a 14 year old BMX Racer from Bunbury Western Australia.
On the 27th December 2017 Cory had an accident whilst training at the Bunbury BMX Club. At the time of the accident, Cory had no feeling or movement below his Hips and was taken immediately to the Bunbury Hospital where he was reviewed and then flown straight to Princess Margaret Hospital in Perth.
Upon further tests it was revealed that Cory had multiple fractured vertebrae with damage to his spinal cord, He then underwent surgery to stabilise his spine and relieve the pressure on his spinal cord on the 28th Dec 2017.
With complete loss of feeling and function below Cory’s hips after his accident, this is page serves as a way to keep up to date on Cory’s journey to walk again.
Cory’s positive mindset and absolute can-do attitude is testament to the effort that we have put into mental training and mindset and we hope that others can benefit from Cory’s story.
Cory has received hundreds of messages of support from so many people and we are truly grateful for such a loving and caring community.
We will endeavour to keep everyone up to date on his progress, but please understand that we have a long road ahead as a family and his rehab and family welfare are #1.
Much Love
The Crombies
